Reaching Children Through Horses 

Very positive feedback from Maisie who attends a school in Walsall and has started her riding sessions which are funded by us abd is obviously enjoying them immensely! 

Lovely to hear from one of our children who has sessions at Gartmore Riding Centre in Walsall 

Delighted that our project from Walsall is back to their riding at Gartmore Riding Centre near Birmingham.
Tracy Francis and her team look after 4 projects from the surrounding area giving many children the opportunity to ride and have stable management sessions.

Children have managed to start back to their riding sessions despite the difficult weather in January!
We also have new projects starting in Walsall,
Lydbury North and Birmingham.
More applications are coming in so we hope to offer more funding where and when we can.

As part of the GB Equestrian Olympic Medalist Adam was invited to meet the Queen at Buckingham Palace. 
Adam managed to have a few words with her and tell of the work the Foundation does giving many children the opportunity to have riding sessions.
Emile has met the Queen a few times in the past and she has always shown an interest so we hope we may receive some support from this..

Delighted to report our Christmas Charity Party at Ashdown Park Hotel and our online Auction was a great success and raised £18,900 with Gift still to be added.!!
Our guests had a wonderful evening and treated to fantastic live entertainment from The Fireflies, Magician Edward Crawford and, Singer Sophie Aimee.
Two members if staff from Stepney Banks Sables in Newcastle attended and read a letter from Adam our Youth Ambassador who started at Stepney!
Thank you to all the staff at Ashdown Park Hotel who  were exceptional!

Becoming A Friend Of The Foundation 

Sherry and Annie have been long term supporters for the Foundation since the beginning and over the years have donated some lovely pieces of leather wear for our events, Maker of bespoke made to measure saddles and  a range of bridles and other leather wear all of which are made in the UK. We are very grateful for thier loyal support.

For the past 3 years we have held our Garden Parties at Blue bell Vineyards by kind invitation of Barry and the late Joyce Tay . The generosity in allowing us to use their wonderful facilities has offered us a fabulous venue for this event and we have had some memorable times there and raised a lot of money for the Foundation . we are extremely indebted to all the team at Bluebell.

The Foundation has been very fortunate over the past years to have been awarded a grant from this Trust - we are very grateful for their support and this grant enables us to fund more projects throughout the year. We hope to be able to rely on their valued support in the future.

British dressage have supported Emile with the Foundation. The Foundation has been their chosen Charity for the National Convention on two occasions and through Southern Region have donated various items for our raffles. 

British Dressage

Delighted to receive a substantial donation of £5000 from the British Dressage Supporters Club.  The BDSC sadly came to an end just before Christmas and he committee decided to make this generous donation to the Foundation.

The BDSC has always been a loyal supporter of the Foundation over the past years and Emile is delighted that they have donated these much needed funds to the Foundation .

The Foundation has received grants from the BEF firstly though the Olympic legacy in 2012 and more recently through Sport England , match funding some of our projects.

The EFF is extremely grateful for their support and which enables us to keep funding these projects.

British Equestrian Federation

Heather who works for the BSI chose the Foundation as her charity to support through the BSI for the year and sponsored our Garden Party at Bluebell Vineyards in 2019. Heather has been a great supporter at any of our fund raising events over the years and we are grateful to her and BSI  for their kind support.

BSI Standards

Dominic and Juliet Langdon Down have been loyal supporters of the Foundation from the start and have held various fund raising events over the years plus been to many of our fund raising events. They have kindly donated some great promises for our Auctions including visits to Goodwood Festival of Speed events.  Also with the Rother Valley Riding Club have held events on their Cross Country course and donated to the EFF.  Dominic can turn his hand to most things and apart from his farm also builds outdoor arenas.

Bull Farm Contractors Kent

Built in 1722 by Sir Thomas Medley, Buxted Park's history is as colourful as it is long. Over the years, the house has played host to society's movers and shakers including William Wordsworth, Winston Churchill and Marlon Brando.
Buxted Park is a four star hotel in East Sussex, set in 312 acres of private grounds and parkland, which includes three large lakes and a deer park. Conveniently located in East Sussex near the Ashdown Forest and the famous Winnie the Pooh bridge, Tunbridge Wells and the coastal towns of Brighton and Eastbourne.

A wonderful donation of £3000 has been donated by Connie Kang in memory of her dear father who passed earlier this year.


A keen horseman Connie pays tribute to her late father:


" My father was a very kind person, kept himself low key, always willing to help young people pursue their dreams, supporting and participating in all kinds of seminars and team events. My inspiration and mentor...."


Very fitting we feel that his memory will help support our young riders.

Craig for many years was our official photographer and took many wonderful photos for us . Craig also kindly donated many photo shoots at our Auctions which were extremely popular . Craig now concentrates on his Wedding photography but we are very grateful for his valued support in the early years .

Derek who owned the Saddlery has been very generous over the years donating some lovely  double bridles for us to Auction and raffle . Now retired from the shop Derek attends most of our fund raising events and is a loyal supporter .

Dressage at Hickstead have kindly supported the Foundation over the years with Dane kindly donating two VIP tickets for the day at their CDI international show and also inviting children to come and visit the show ground and watch.  In 2007 Emile presented a cheque from the Foundation to Ebony Horse Club from Brixton in the International arena.  During the summer Hickstead usually hosts a London schools competition at Hickstead which involves some of the riding centres that the Foundation uses. We are very grateful to Dane and his team for their loyal support over the years.
